Welcome to The Lilting Tree. Here you will find posts about depth psychology, creativity, writing, books, art, myth, fairy tales, folklore, music, and all things related to the imagination, in both its light and dark aspects. My purpose in keeping the blog is mainly personal, as keeping up with it helps to support and nurture “the writing habit,” I’m working on. Why write? Writing, for me, is a way of world-building, in that it helps to shape and solidify a world-view, (or world-feel, for lack of a better term) that is meaningful and rich, reflective instead of reactive, studied rather than superficial. Beyond that I would love to connect with readers who share my interests and proclivities, to entice them into conversation. So please, if you’re so inclined, leave a comment!
